Talon Chandler

Hi, I’m Talon.

I’m a postdoctoral scholar in Dr. Sabrina Leslie’s Lab, one of the Michael Smith Laboratories at the University of British Columbia.

I received my Ph.D. from the University of Chicago’s Graduate Program in Medical Physics in 2020 where I developed spatio-angular microscopes with Dr. Patrick La Rivière, Dr. Rudolf Oldenbourg, and Dr. Hari Shroff.

I graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2015 with a B.A.Sc. in Engineering Physics.

I grew up in a family of apiarists: my parents operate Scandia Honey in Southern Alberta, my sister sells honey in Toronto, and my aunt and uncle operate Jane’s Honey Bees in the Vancouver area. In my spare time I mostly read and run.
